This is GUH-79 circlip type universal joint (cross joint), a heavy-duty replacement spare part for truck drive shafts. It is supplied complete with retaining circlips and a grease nipple.
🛠️ Structure
The GUH-79 is a Greasable External Snap-Ring (Circlip) Design. Its structural components include:
• The Spider (Cross Core): A central four-point forged steel core treated with a black anti-corrosion surface coating to withstand demanding friction and stress.
• Bearing Cups & Needle Rollers: Four ground-metal caps packed with precision needle roller pins that slide over the cross journals to deliver fluid rotation under heavy loads.
• Lubrication System: A central grease port fitted with a threaded grease nipple (zerk), enabling routine maintenance and re-greasing to clear out debris and minimize friction wear.
• Retention Hardware: The kit includes four elastic external snap-rings (circlips) that snap firmly into grooves on the driveshaft yoke to prevent the bearing cups from slipping out.
