8V-6170 Drive Shaft Slip Joint Group 936、936E、936F、G936

✅The item in the picture is a Drive Shaft Slip Joint Group for Caterpillar heavy machinery, with OEM part number 8V-6170.

💡 What is it?

It is a key core component in the transmission system of construction machinery (commonly known as drive shaft, drive shaft center bearing assembly or slip joint group). 

💡Structure:

It consists of a yoke with a U-Joint (universal joint) on one end, and a splined sleeve (Slip Joint) that allows telescopic movement on the other end.

💡Function:

During operation, the distance and angle between the axle and gearbox keep changing. Combined, this telescopic joint and universal joint can accommodate changes in length and angular misalignment, while ensuring smooth power transfer from the transmission system to the wheel axle. It also buffers vibration, absorbs shock and protects the whole transmission system.

🚜 Application:
It is specially designed for Caterpillar Wheel-Type Loaders.
